The Gallery – Twin Club summer picnic

28/07/2010

After far too long I have managed to get my act back together and once again am participating in the lovely Tara’s Gallery over at Sticky Fingers.

You must go and have a look at the other entries, some fantastic photography, some beautiful ways of seeing the world and some fun posts to read, giving you a wonderful Feel Good factor.

This week’s prompt was ‘Nature’ and what better than to capture the twin club picnic last weekend at Camer park with its centuries old trees and long sprawling grass spreading out and inviting all of the twins to run off in different directions to the delight of their parents who just wanted to sit down and have a sandwich!

Twin Club summer picnic

A lot of discussion went in to who sat where

a new take on the egg and spoon race!

Alfie shows how it's done

I made our rolls with mexican chicken and tikka chicken (both small packs prepared by Morrisons) with a few salad leaves and some plain cheese sarnies for the girls. Some mini pork pies, mini sausages, and lots of strawberries to finish. The food was demolished in minutes!

A brilliant time was had by all, the weather did us justice and we’re all looking forward to our treasure trail next week.

What cannot be left out of your picnic hamper? 🙂

They sure are, the ones that stick in everyone’s memory just because nothing ‘special’ happened but everyone had a good time

    Looks like great fun!
Homemade Mayo is the one thing we always take on picnics….makes even the most boring ham sandwich delicious…..

I just wish I had the time for home made mayo, mind you probably best not as I would eat it all far too quickly. I adore mayo!

Nothing better than having a whole day when you can just sit down and let them run, play, with no other plans. My two hate it when we’re rushing about and having to leave places when they’re having such fun. These are the best days, I do hope the sun comes back here again soon, I miss it !

      Come Back Sun!
couldn’t agree more with you, my hard work was convincing the other half to meet ‘new’ people and that he would be ok.
He was fine (as we all knew he would be!) and talked Arsenal, Fabregas and other world changing topics with other dads and said on hte whole the day was ok… that’s good to you and me 🙂

So cute! It makes me yearn for more sunshine and days in the park! x

It’s great to watch the little ones learn to interact …or not in Bessie’s case! This little lady is perfecting her tantrums to worldwide standards. 🙂
